Chew on Something Healthy at

Tuesday, August 8
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
This event is a fundraiser to provide school supplies for orphans in Nairobi, Kenya.
Pete Thomas, weight loss phenom from NBC’s The Biggest Loser 2, will be a “Guest Griller” at bd’s mongolian barbeque in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, August 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition, Thomas will present an informative talk entitled “Eating Out Without Pigging Out: A Guide to Low Calorie Restaurant Eating” at both 6:30 & 7:30 p.m. If you have ever found it difficult to stay within your daily calorie limit when you eat at restaurant, this talk is for you. During his time at the Biggest Loser ranch in 2005, Pete learned how to eat well while eating out, a skill he will share during his short, practical talk, using the food at bd’s mongolian barbeque as an example.
Tickets are $25, which includes a delicious meal prepared right before your eyes, dessert and a talk by Pete Thomas. Proceeds will benefit the Labor of Love Ministries Outreach Team, which is traveling to Kenya from August 14-22, 2006. They will be supplying practical care for orphans in Nairobi, including food and school supplies. Labor of Love has established a relationship with the church that runs the orphanage and school in an economically depressed area of the city.
