HOMETOWN “BIGGEST LOSER” TO SPEAK AT FREE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY EVENT
Pete Thomas to speak March 10 at Kensington Court in Ann Arbor
The Colorectal Cancer Awareness Network (CRAN) of Washtenaw County will host an educational program at Kensington Court in Ann Arbor on March 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
Guest speaker Pete Thomas, Ypsilanti native and “Biggest Loser” winner, will discuss nutrition, healthy living and exercise as a means of cancer prevention. Additional presenters and panelists include medical experts and a local colon cancer survivor. This interactive event will allow audience Q&A. Everyone can take advantage of this free event by pre-registering. Light refreshments will be provided. The program is made possible by St. Joseph Mercy Health System, Huron Gastroenterology, University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center and Chelsea Community Hospital.
